What are you most passionate about professionally?
For me, I am passionate about maintaining a happy working environment for the team and most importantly excelling our customers’ expectations.
What are you surprisingly good at?
I have a remarkable talent for remembering useless facts!
What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?
Well, that’s an easy one – that we are still in Totnes after nearly 40 years with an expanded business, increasing customer base and a successful business. Testament to the team that have worked with us over the years and today.
How long have you been working in your field? And who for?
SCP Building Products is part of the Southfield Windows Group, which was founded by my grandfather Tony Wallis nearly 40 years ago. It’s a family run business and I was destined to join! I have been working at SCP for over 11 years – I started straight from school.
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
Getting married to Lorelle 5 years ago!
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
I deal with difficult situations with drainage and water management daily. Every customer has a different problem that needs specialist knowledge and skill to sort out.
What are you complimented on most in your work?
I have been told that I have a calm nature and stay focussed when dealing with busy periods or when we have a problem that needs sorting.
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
A small to medium builder who appreciates someone who is keen to help and who puts a value on personnel service.
What are you most passionate about personally?
The Water! I love the sea.
What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?
I would love to be part of the fantastic RNLI.
